bloody popsicle
surprisingly, i already have a story to tell. i was working with a class of 5 yr olds today and it was eventful to say the least. the highlight of my day took place at lunch. they got popsicles for dessert. so anyways, there i am sitting at a table full of kids making sure they don't choke on their food and die or something. all of the sudden i hear vittoria (a girl in the class i was working with) scream. i look at her and she's pointing at this kid giorgio and he is holding his popsicle and it's covered in blood. i look at him and his mouth is covered in blood dripping down his chin. he had the most confused look on his face and he smiles at me with his blood coated teeth. it was so ridiculous. so i go over to him and i try cleaning him up and i finally figure out that the popsicle was so frozen that it stuck to his lip and when he pulled it off he cut his lip in 3 different places. i had to sit there while he finished his bloody popsicle and wipe his lip off after every 2 or so bites. it's hard for me to describe how funny the image was of this 5 yr old holding a bloody popsicle with a big bloody smile on his face. thanks giorgio, you are so cute even when you're covered in blood.

here i am
it's official, i am now a blogger. i mean, it's worth a try.
i've been here for almost 5 weeks now, crazy. i started my internship at TASIS. everything is sailing by like a dream. working with these little kids is refreshing. it's been about two weeks since i started and i've already learned so much from them. this whole experience will be a key component in figuring out if i am going to continue my studies with developmental psychology. i find myself thanking my lucky stars everyday for this opportunity.
here are some photographs i took while exploring near my apartment.
